Chapter 1

It’s the start of a new year after all the events that took place last year with the shooting and everything. Everyone has suffered and now it seems everyone has tried to move on. The person who has been really effected the most by all of this is Emma, she was in such a state of depression she changed herself to try and feel better by seeking comfort in Jay, all her friends believe this wouldn’t have happened, she wouldn’t have been so depressed if....Sean never left.

“Hey Emma, how was your last week of summer?" asked Manny. “oh you know Manny, same old, same old. I just haven’t been myself lately everyone is still ragging on me about the whole Jay thing but who can blame them? Its also tearing me apart because i just want to be happy again. And I’m starting to get better, I have been through a lot of counselling," replied Emma. The two friends walked into homeroom and took a seat next to JT, Liberty, and Toby.  The stares from everyone that Emma was receiving were unbearable, tears were forming in her eyes but she held them back with all her might. Manny and the rest of her friends gave her looks of comfort and sincerity. They understood what she was going through, and they were determined to make things better but Manny knew better...as much as Emma said she didn’t miss him or love him anymore, Manny knew the only one who could make Emma whole again was the boy who went away.

During lunchtime, Manny went over to Paige and Hazel's table to talk to them about Emma, although they had their differences, over the summer they all became really close friends. "Paige, Hazel, we really need to help Emma,  she just isn’t the same, i want the old Em back...I say we have a girls night tonight at my house and we force Emma to admit she needs him..." Paige and Hazel looked at each other with agreeing nods because they knew they had to make Emma better, she was their friend and they couldn’t let this go on any longer. "Manny, sweetie, you’re so right...we are both in but when you say him who are you speaking of...Sean?" asked Paige. "Yes that’s who I’m talking about, Emma told me that the last day she saw him when they were in Wasaga he told her how sorry he was, for everything, and how as she was pulling away all they could do was stare at each other and cry." "But what about Ellie? You know his girlfriend?” piped in Hazel. “He and Ellie obviously weren’t so in love if he could leave her and cry as Emma was leaving, Sean and Emma are meant to be because I recently got an unexpected email from Sean." “What did it say???" asked the girls in unison. "He asked me how Emma was, and told me not to tell anyone he emailed me, especially when its about Emma, he said he missed her..." replied Manny. "Then that settles it tonight we are gonna get Emma happy again because no matter how much she says it Sean isn’t going to fade away," the girls smiled and begun planning just how they were going to make Emma happy again.

Without them realizing it, someone overheard the whole conversation and wasn’t too happy...Ellie wasn’t about to let some slutty bitch steal the love of her life.

Chapter 2

Later that night at Manny’s, the girls were really having a blast, even Emma. They gave each other make-overs and gossiped and ate double cheese pizza, lemmas favorite! Uh..oh...Emma began to cry..."Omg Emma whets wrong?" asked Manny. "This wasn’t just my favorite pizza it was mine and Sean’s...so many memories!" gasped Emma. The girls knew this was the perfect time to bring him up and get her to admit her true feelings. "Emma, you keep telling me that you don’t miss him and he means nothing to you anymore, but it doesn’t seem that way...its almost as if you are still in love with him." Emma’s eyes grew wide and the puffiness was visible..."I can’t admit I’m still in love with him because I need to forget him because i know he isn’t coming back and it kills me! He is with another girl and it’s my fault because if got him detention and that’s where he met her! I just want to forget! So yeah I do love him and I miss him and I hate him for leaving me!" cried Emma as Ellie sat at the window and listened to the whole thing...

"Well Emma, we were thinking we need to do something about it. We heard that he and Ellie aren’t doing good at all...and Manny has to tell you something." stated Paige. Paige looked at Manny with pleading eyes for her to just tell Emma about Sean’s email. Emma looked at Manny with questioning eyes as Manny began to say, "I received an email from Sean not too long ago ...he asked me to keep it a secret." "WHAT?" WHAT DID IT SAY??" asked Emma. "Well he basically asked me about you, said it killed him to leave you and hoped you are ok but he didn’t want me telling anyone because he thought you didn’t care about him anymore..." the four girls sat there for awhile without saying anything...finally Emma spoke," guys we are going to take a little trip tomorrow...to Wasaga beach to see Sean because me and him need to talk."

The girls planned for the next day that they would go to school like normal and instead of going to homeroom get into Paige's new jeep and drive to wasaga. For the first time in a long time the girls hoped things would get better...especially for emma.

Chapter 3

The next morning Emma woke up like usual except she seemed to be in a better mood today...she took a shower and put on her cutest denim skirt with a hot pink tank top with a plunging neck line that just showed enough.  She blow dried and straightened her hair and wore just enough pink eye shadow with a thin line of black eye liner. To top it off she put a clear lip gloss over her lips. As she walked upstairs her mom was taken back by how beautiful her daughter looked today. She knew something was different but whatever it was it was working.

At school the four girls met up in the parking lot. Paige, Hazel and Manny were so surprised at Emma today and they knew it was because of Sean, they just hoped things would work out and not blow up right in their faces.  On their way the girls were laughing and blasting their favorite music and singing along just like old times. When they finally reached Wasaga Emma was having second thoughts about seeing the boy who owned her heart.  She hadn’t seen him in over 6 months...she just didn’t know how he would react. It turned out him and Ellie did break up about 2 months after he left Degrassi.  Emma just hoped he hadn’t found anyone new.

It was 10:30 in the morning and the girls pulled up in front of Wasaga High and waited until Sean got out because he had a half-day today, all the schools did. The bell rang and piles of kids were running out the double front doors...the girls ducked their heads and just waited ...waited until they saw Sean. He was wearing a black beanie and had on baggy denim jeans with a chain hanging down, he had a wife beater on with a sweat shirt over him. Emma's eyes lit up, he looked just the same as before but even hotter. Emma and Manny got out of the car and just stood there...and waited until he saw them. At first he was walking alone and then a girl came up behind him and hugged him...he smiled. Emma’s heart just sank...Emma said, “Manny let’s go.” "No I want him to see us Em, just wait here.” Then some hot guys walked by and started talking to both of them. For a spilt second Emma forgot about Sean and loosened up and began to smile and talk.  

Just across the street Sean was talking to this girl but suddenly in the midst of it he stopped...he could have sworn he heard her voice, the voice of an angel...he swore he heard Emma. He looked all around but didn’t see anyone...he started to walk across the street to see why all these guys were huddled in a circle. As he drew closer to the circle he herd a very familiar voice...he knew it was Emma’s ...he had to push through and see for himself. When he pushed his way through just enough to see who was there ...he saw Manny ...and then he saw Emma. He thought, wow I can’t believe Emma is here...she looks even more beautiful than the last time I saw her. I wonder why she is here? Could she have come to see me?

Then Sean heard one of the guys ask Emma where she was going for the rest of the day...Emma just replied she didn’t know that she had come here to see someone. "Who?" one of the guys asked. "Umm his name is Sean...Sean Cameron. Do any of you know where I could find him?" asked Emma. All of the guys were shocked. "Yeah we all know him, actually Sean is one of my best friends...we are planning on going to the beach today why don’t you go and meet up with him there in say an hour?" "Sounds great." Then Emma and Manny got back into the car and drove off. When the guys turned around and saw Sean they had so many unanswered questions they had to ask him about this mysterious girl that had come to see him. "Yo, Sean there was this girl here to see you, she’s gonna meet us later at the beach to see you. Where in the world did you find such a beautiful girl?" asked the guys.  Sean smiled and replied, "She’s from Degrassi, we have a really long past." "Well man from the looks of it you must have feelings for her...I mean the look in your eyes just now. it was like u got a piece of yourself back." "Yeah..maybe you are right," said Sean.

Chapter 4

It was almost time to go to the beach and Emma was getting butterflies in her stomach. "Guys, what do you think is going to happen? Do you think he will be happy to see me?" "You know Em, I honestly think he is going to be overjoyed to see you," replied Hazel. They got to the beach a lil late because Emma didn’t want to look too eager. They parked the car and set up a blanket on the sand and just sat and had a churro. Emma looked around but didn’t see Sean...but he saw her. He just couldn’t stop staring at her. He just didn’t know when would be the perfect time to go and talk to her but he had to make up his mind soon.  Emma sat there and a few of the guys she met came to talk to her. "Hey guys, is Sean even here?" asked Emma. "Yeah he’s been here, don’t tell him we told you but he’s really nervous about seeing you again, he’s over there watching you from afar." Emma began to blush when suddenly a shadowy figure came up behind her.

Manny cracked a huge smile and Emma just knew it was Sean. Suddenly Emma heard a deep, sexy voice say, "Hey Emma." Emma got goosebumps all over her body and suddenly turned around and faced him, the boy who stole her heart so long ago. "Hey Sean, how are you?" asked Emma, she couldn’t help but crack a smile. Sean couldn’t believe his eyes ...the girl he had dreams about almost every night and thought about almost every minute of every day was sitting right in front of him more beautiful then ever. "I have been good...so why are you here?" asked Sean. Emma stood up and began to walk away and then she looked back at Sean, signalling for him to follow her and he did. Manny, Paige, and Hazel all had their fingers crossed.

Emma led Sean to a quiet and deserted part of the beach where they could talk, like really talk because there were so many unsaid things between them. “Sean, I came here today to see you because we need to talk. Ever since the shooting and you saved me life I have been really depressed. I hated you at first for leaving me. I know I acted like you didn’t mean anything and I didn’t love you anymore but it was all an act ...I have never stopped loving you and i don’t think I will ever. I just started to get better. I have been through a lot of counselling and my friends and family have been so supportive but I have a feeling that Sean you are the only one who can put me back together." Sean looked stunned that Emma just said that. "Em...I thought you didn’t care about me anymore. That it didn’t matter if I stayed or went. The last day I left was the hardest day of my life because all I could do was look at you leave me out of sight and I cried. You’re the only girl I have ever cried over. I have always loved you Emma and I think I will forever. You believed in me when no one else did and yeah I did care about Ellie but I never loved her the way I love you, I don’t think I ever really loved Ellie ...I was with her to cover up how miserable I was without you. I need you Emma; I need you more then anything." Emma's eyes welled up with tears. "Sean, you’er saying you want to be with me? But wait I saw you will that girl today when you got out of school...who is she? Are you with her?" asked Emma, she was hoping to get a certain answer but boy was she wrong. “Emma...ugh...she’s my girlfriend...her name is Melissa, I care about her," said Sean. Emma’s heart felt like it was ripped out and stomped on a million times.  "Sean how can you say all that stuff to me and give me hope and then say you have a girlfriend you care about! This was such a big mistake! I HATE YOU SEAN CAMERON! I never want to see you again! I take it back I don’t love you!" with that Emma spit in his face and ran away!

"EMMA! WAIT YOU DONT UNDERSTAND! Sean ran after her and he grabbed her arm but she slapped him away.

When Emma reached Paige, Hazel and Manny she cried that she wanted to leave right away. They got into the car and drove off before Sean could catch up to them. Emma looked out the back window to see Sean crying and out of breath.

Chapter 5 (Note: this chapter has mild sexual content)

Back in Degrassi, Emma just fell apart ...she wasn’t going to get better, just worse after what Sean did to her. A week or so later Emma was even more depressed then usual. She hadn’t gone to school in 4 days but today her mom made her go. Thank god it was Friday and Emma didn’t have to be back there for a couple days. She just wanted to get the day over with. Emma went to her locker to get her books for that morning and went to homeroom with Manny. To her surprise there was a new student this morning. Mr. Simpson said with a smile on his face, “Guys let’s welcome back Sean Cameron who is now with us for the rest of the year!” Everyone clapped … besides Emma. As soon as she saw him walk in the door she burst into tears. She had to cover them up. Mr. Simpson, not knowing what happened between them the previous week thought he was doing Emma a favor when he put Sean in the seat next to her. Sean took the seat and Emma just couldn’t look at him.

"Emma, listen to me, I came back here for you. You totally got the wrong idea last week and I’m not gonna stop until I get you to listen to me.  I made sure I am in most of your classes because I need you Emma, and I know you need me. So just let me know when you are ready to talk," with that the bell rang for first period. Sean was in all of Emma’s morning classes besides one and he sat next to her in almost every class. Emma couldn’t take it anymore. During lunch when Sean was walking towards her she got up and ran into the ravine, Sean followed. When Sean finally caught up to her Emma had collapsed to the floor and was crying. Sean bent down to her. "Emma please don’t cry, I hate seeing you cry." "Sean what do you expect me to do, you hurt me so much. I poured my heart and soul out to you and it feels like you don’t care at all because you have a girlfriend you care about." "Emma, I did have a girlfriend and yes I did care about her but it was nothing compared to the amount of love i have for you. When I was with her Emma, all I thought about was you...you are all I ever think about." Emma looked up at him and he wiped away the last of her tears. She smiled at him as he picked her up onto her feet. As they looked into each others eyes they could see into the other’s soul. Sean moved his lips to Emma and they shared the most romantic kiss. "You have no idea how long I have been waiting for that," whispered Emma into his ear. Then their kissing started to get more passionate and hard...Emma had been waiting for this moment for so long. She couldn’t take it. Sean knew what she wanted. He had wanted it for so long too...he always knew his first time would be with her, as did she with him. "Emma are you sure? Now? Here?" asked Sean. Between kisses emma said, “Yes...I’m sure..I want you now..so badly..” They started taking off each others clothes until before they knew it they were naked. Emma had a condom in her purse and Sean slipped it on. Emma thought, he looks so good naked. He has such a hot body. This is even more perfect then I could have pictured it. God I love him. They were now kissing more intensely Sean thought, I love her so much. This is the best day of my life. I’m no longer incomplete. Before they knew it they had had sex and for both of them it was the best night of their lives.

After they had gotten their clothes on they decided it was best if they just skipped the rest of the day because they had already missed lunch and 2 periods. Sean took Emma’s hand and told her he had a surprise for her. When they arrived at their destination Emma couldn’t believe her eyes. Sean had taken her to their spot; the place where they had their first real kiss. "Sean, I cant believe you took me here but why?" then Sean took out a pocket knife and began carving something into the tree. When he was done he put his hands over Emma’s eyes and then told her too look. Emma couldn’t believe it. Sean had carved their names inside a heart showing that their love with never fade away. Emma began making out with him and then they felt like they weren’t alone anymore …and they weren’t.

Chapter 6

Ellie stood there just watching them and finally she spoke, " How dare you put your hands on my man you slut!" “Excuse me??? He’s not your man he’s mine, he broke up with you, remember? And he has always been in love with me Ellie and he always will!" Wllie was furious! Sean went between them and said to them, "You guys seriously need to stop fighting and over me? Ellie I’m sorry you’re hurting but we broke up over 4 months ago and I’m not your man I’m Emma’s and I think I always have been even when we weren’t together...I’m so sorry for hurting you Ellie.. I can’t help who I love. And Emma you are the love of my life and whatever anyone says to you just know that!" He walked over to Emma and gave her a long and soft kiss. Meanwhile Ellie ran away crying.

Over the next couple weeks things just seemed to fall into place for Emma...she had the love of her life back, her grades were getting better, people stopped staring at her as much and she had the best family and friends anyone could ask for.  Manny was so happy because they got the old Emma back. I guess you can say even when someone moves away it doesn’t mean the love is gone and for Emma Nelson and Sean Cameron the love is there forever, they know they are soul mates, that they are meant to be. Their love is one love that will never fade away.
